Buying landscape material means converting between square feet, cubic feet, cubic yards, tons and bag sizes, often while standing in a store aisle. Each calculator here does that conversion for one job and explains the math, so you can check it yourself.

The numbers come from standard volume formulas and typical industry figures for material weight and seeding rates. Real products vary, so treat the results as a solid starting estimate and check the label or ask your supplier before a big order.
